My new hobby

My new favorite thing to do is paint. My mommy bought me a set of watercolor paints and some paintbrushes and I have been having so much fun. I also love to draw with markers and crayons. Here are some pictures of me painting and drawing with markers.

I made and ate hot meals.
I had unstained clothing.
I had quiet conversations on the phone.

And never worried about how late I got

I never held down a screaming child,
So that doctors could do tests,
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and

I never got gloriously happy over

I never sat up late hours
at night
Watching a baby sleep.

I never held a sleeping baby just because.
I didn’t want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million
pieces.
When I couldn’t stop the hurt.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

I didn’t know the feeling of having my
heart outside my body.
I didn’t know how special it could feel to
feed a hungry baby.
I didn’t know that bond between a mother
and her child.
I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important.

I had never risen in the middle of the night .
Every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
The joy,
The love,
The heartache,
The wonderment,
Or the satisfaction of being a
Mom.

I'm a big girl now

Wow...it has really been a long time since my last post. Since than I have become a big sister...my baby sister Daniela was born Dec 19th. She is too young for me to play with right now but I like to talk to her and make her laugh.

I am talking so much these days and no more baby talk either, I have started to put words together to make a sentence. I have learned to eat using a fork and spoon, "no hands" as mommy says. I have become somewhat of a picky eater, but I guess that's to be expected at my age but mommy doesn't like it very much. My favorite foods are pasta, fruits and vegetables, couscous, french fries (with ketchup of course), waffles, pancakes, cheese, yogurt, goldfish crackers and sometimes I like chicken.

Some of my favorite things to do are draw and color in my coloring book, play in my kitchen, I like to pretend that I am cooking. I like to play with my baby doll and push her around in the stroller. I also love playing in the bathtub and playing with all of my tub toys.

Time to catch up

I am 11 months old today. One more month and it will be MY BIRTHDAY!!! I know I haven't posted in awhile but mommy has been put on bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy, so there hasn't been too many new pictures of me taken lately. I am officially walking. I started walking a month ago, at first I would just run and than fall down, but than I learned to walk slowly and I wouldn't fall so much. I am having so much fun walking, I love to stop and explore everything. I now have 6 teeth. I think there might be some more coming out somewhere because I am always chewing on my fingers, or anything else I can chew on. I have started eating some table food, pretty much whatever mommy and daddy are eating they give me a little taste. Here are a few new pics that were taken this month. I'll make sure to have plenty of pics next month from my Birthday!

Well let's see....what have I been up to lately?? I have started saying ma-ma, I made mommy very happy when I said it. I'm starting to take steps without holding on, I usually end up falling but I don't let that discourage me, I get right back up and try again. I can walk from one end to the other in my playpen without holding on, I have a little more confidence in there. I still only have 3 teeth, but that doesn't stop me from eating. I have graduated to chunkier baby food and I have started to eat puff snacks, those are my favorite. I still haven't mastered the sippy cup, I'd much rather chew on the spout but I'll get the hang of it. A few weeks ago mommy and daddy took me to the Queens Zoo, I enjoyed seeing all the animals but I had the most fun when daddy took me on the carousel. Here are some new pics of me.

Almost 9 months old!!

Wow, it has been a long time since my last post. Time is really flying by, I'm going to be 9 months old in a few days. Before you know it, it will be my First Birthday!! Mommy's already planning my party.

I have three teeth now, two on the bottom and one on the top. Luckily, I haven't had any problems with my teeth coming in. I know mommy's happy about that. I can walk if someone holds my hands, I'm not ready to let go just yet. A few times I've tried and I fell.

I'm not saying alot of words, right now all I say is "da-da" and "ba-ba" for my bottle. And when I'm really hungry I'll say "mmmmm", that tells mommy to hurry up with my food.

Yes, you read that correct. Mommy is going to have another baby! She is due December 27th. We were all a little surprised at first, but now we are excited to have another baby in the house. Not much else has happened since my last post. Daddy put the pool up for me , the water is still a little too cold , hopefully by next week I can go swimming. Here are a couple of new pics.

Just some new pics of me

Not much has happened since my last post. I have been feeling like my old self again (glad that's over with). I've been standing for longer periods of time, I watched almost a whole episode of Dora while standing. I have started to take some steps too (while someone holds my hand of course). Here are some pics of me in my playpen and some of me in the tub, mommy was giving me silly hairdos.

Feeling much better

I am happy to say that I am on the road to recovery. I have been sick all week with a stomach virus. I even ended up in the hospital from dehydration and had to have iv fluids. After about 6 days I am starting to feel better. I've learned how to stand up this week. I stood up for the first time in my play pen. Mommy was so excited, but that meant she had to lower the crib again. Here are some pictures of me standing in my playpen and one of me in the laundry basket.

I'm a messy eater

I am happy to say that my cold is gone. It only lasted 2 days. I went to the dr. the other day for my 6 month checkup. I am still 16 1/2 pounds but I grew 1 inch, I am now 29".

I am trying so hard to sit up from a laying down position. I'm almost there, but sometimes I cheat and I'll pull on my diaper to help me sit up.

The dr. said I can start to eat yogurt and meat. Yumm, can't wait! I'm a very good eater, I like everything I have tried so far. Surprisingly, my favorites are vegetables, I love green beans, sweet peas and butternut squash.

First cold

Well it finally happened, all these months of mommy keeping me in a bubble and it still happened. I caught my first cold !! It's been bad too, sleepless nights and crying (and that was just mommy). I had my first fever, mommy had to give me tylenol . I still have a slight fever and runny nose but it seems to be getting better. Hopefully, no more fevers.
